Now To the features/plans i have for my game :D
1) Players being able to "build" the world
Desc: This means that at first, the whole world would not be connected and towns will only have essential stuff. Players would choose their starting places when creating their character. They can build the world by going to the town hall and choosing what buildings they want and contribute resources to it.
Eg: i want to go to town B from town A. However, it would take very long to walk there. From the build list, i can build a port which will allow anyone to use the port and travel.
Cons:
-People who don't contribute can also use them
-People who start later dun get a chance to build
2) Hidden stuff :D
Desc: Some jobs such as magician can see stuff related to magic while thiefs' can see hidden traps. However, invisible as they are, you can still use them. (like get hurt by an invisible trap). Most likey only found in dungeons but may have some scattered around.
Eg: There is a lake of lava. However, the magician can see a bridge hidden by magic. He can tell the members of his party where it is and they can cross it.
Related: Can use skills to scan for hidden stuff and make it shown
3) Guild maps
Desc: Able to buy a map that you can teleport to using an item. The map can be customized by allowing guild members to buy furniture and etc from guild shops. Also, trophies earn from guild wars can be put too. An awesome feature is also to let the members in the higher ranks to edit the terrain. You can also set up shops. So it ends up as a custom town :D
Eg: My guild map can consist of 3 player shops, an inn for chatting etc and maybe a river with mountains in the background :)
4) Factions
Desc:
Refer to the map at the right. Notice there are circles in 3 colors? These show what factions they are from and will consist of guards who will protect people who is in the same faction.
Black = Faction 1
Red = Faction 2
Purple = Neutral ( no guards )
Therefore, people from faction 1 will be protected by guards if attacked as long as they are in the area of faction 1. Also, there will still be arenas. In general, everywhere you go, pvp is on :)
Eg: I started in faction 1. If i am training in a map belonging to faction 1 and get attacked from someone from faction 2. Guards patrolling will come and help kill that guy. (no guards in sight=u xia suay)
5) More life skills
Desc: This means more skills like farming, fishing etc. There will also be crafting skills such as making your own armor, potions etc
Eg:
Gathering skills: Mining, fishing, farming, wood cutting, skinning
Crafting skills: smiting, leathermaking, alchemy, cooking, fire making, enchanting, engineering, inscription, jewel crafting
Etc skills: swimming, taming, building (guild maps & player shops),
NEEDS MORE SUGGESTIONS
6) Multi-classing
Desc: Able to choose 2 classes. Although the secondary class would be taken at a later level and can only reach 3rd job advancement unlike 4th job for main. This allows players to create customized characters and making combos of skills and stats.
Eg: My main is a warrior while my secondary class is a frost mage. I would then be able to freeze the opponent, teleport in and then start melee-ing it.
I can also make a rogue-warrior as both uses agility and strength. this way, i would end up with a fast and high damage attacker.
7) More realistic and interactive towns
Desc: NPCs will age over time and die. This means that quests will have limited time to complete and will keep changing. It will also hire players for their skills as quest (hospitals hire clerics to heal patients *suggested by junrong. ROFL)
Eg: A potion seller may start out as an old man. One month later, he dies and leaves his 13-year-old grandson to take over. This will maybe create a quest for you to help the young boss as he cannot get materials to make potions etc. Most likely npcs age will 10 years per 1 month real time (may also die from illness such as cancer *suggested by jr again. ROFL)
8) Patch notes more general
Desc: Instead of saying that will be found at and will drop . We will end up making it like a news article. By saying that it has been seen in the region of and carrying a huge sword etc.
9) Improved attack mechanics
Desc: You'll have to aim to see where you're shooting and accuracy will mostly depend on you. Even if you are a warrior, you have to face the direction you're attacking and click to attack or block. something like this video:
